Timothy David Martuch is a native of Fenton Michigan.
He studied at Adrian College while completing his undergraduate studies and pursued a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
While Tim primarily teaches classes in audio and music at the Art Institute of Michigan, Tim is also heavily involved in a wide variety of local music organizations and activities in mid-michigan.
Tim plays tuba with the Fenton Orchestra, where he also contributes his talents as composer, orchestrator, arranger, and conductor. Tim also directs the FCO affiliate wind ensemble, Fenton Winds. Tim also is an active member of many rock, jazz, and chamber groups.
Additionally, Tim leads a mid-Michigan production organization called Fueled by Coffee Media. Fueled by Coffee has produced a number of podcasts, assisted local musicians, and has operated live music events.
Music and Beyond
Tim's involvement in the study of sonic expression is not simply limited to music. As Full Time Faculty of Audio at the Art Institute of Michigan, Tim has significantly escalated his work in audio production and sound design. He is currently training students that are gaining acceptance to graduate school and are beginning their own careers as audio professionals.

Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media - Film Score
In May of 2016, The Academy of Art University conferred a Master of Fine Arts unto Timothy Martuch. At the academy, Tim's primary focus was on score for film and interactive media. While at the Academy, he joined Erick Sala on a collaborative project that was recognized as Best in Show for the 2014 Spring Show.

Tim began his undergraduate training at Adrian College in August of 2008. While at Adrian, Tim selected the Bachelor of Arts in Music as his degree path and eventually decided on adding a minor in Media Arts with Adrian's Communication Department. Tim became heavily involved in performance ensembles during his career at Adrian, playing in concert bands, wind ensembles, brass quintets, jazz bands, jazz combos, orchestra, pit bands, guitar ensembles and more. He also decided to add a focus in Music Theory and Composition to his Music Major.
